Okay, so I’m doing a hundred things at once right now, so this won’t be a proper blog post. If my posts are ever proper. Anyway, just a QUICK reminder that I’m doing a hometown, Chapel Hill event TONIGHT at Flyleaf Books on Martin Luther King Blvd (formerly Airport Road) at 7pm. It’s between Foster’s and….The Flying Burrito. Yes, you read that right. About twenty years ago I was rolling silverware and wiping down menus at the restaurant, hoping against hope that I’d somehow, someday, publish a book. And now I’m doing a reading for my tenth one only steps away. WHOA. Talk about life coming full circle. Or something like that.
I love hometown events, and thanks to Flyleaf we now have a real, local independent bookstore here in Chapel Hill (not to diss The Bull’s Head, at UNC Student Stores, but it’s on campus and harder for some folks to get to). What’s also cool about this event is that both Dessen Racing cars with be parked and in attendance. So if you want to get your picture taken with the WHAT HAPPENED TO GOODBYE car, you can:

That’s me with Evan, the driver of the WHTG car. The driver of the ALONG FOR THE RIDE car will also be there–aka my husband—breaking his longtime vow of anonymity. This is one for the records, folks. We’ll also have T-shirts and water bottles for trivia giveaways. So if you’re around and can make it, come out and say hello.
After tonight, I have a couple of days before I head off to New Orleans and the ALA conference. Does anyone else feel like the last two months have been kind of a blur? No? Okay, maybe that’s just me.
Now: errands. Of course!
Have a good day, everyone!
I have just learned of Sarah Dressen as an author and am looking for a list of her books in chronological order in which they were written. Is there somewhere I can find this online?
They are all listed here on her website just click on the book tab and it list them from latest to the very first book
So if you’re going, post pictures. If your husband is coming out of anonymity, I think a lot of fans want to see what your husband looks like. Not in a gross, ‘Is he hot?’ sort of way, just the dude lucky enough to call you his wife
. Please?

Agreed! It would be great to see more than his shoes or the back of his head (such as what I’ve only seen in livejournal posts)
Sounds so great, I wish I could make it out there, but unfortunately I live waaaaaaaaaay to far away. Anyway, good luck to all your fans with the trivia questions, and hope you have fun!
