Because I’m over on Twitter more than on this blog lately—to be honest, I’m on Twitter more than ANYTHING, i.e. too much, but whatever—I decided to collect all my tweets from this weekend and put them in an entry here. Just so you have an idea of what went on. Which, I realized as I read them over is….not much. So this will probably be a one-time thing. It was also a LOT of cutting and pasting, although I bet there’s an easier way. If there isn’t, someone needs to invent a program that does it with one click. Benjamin Werdmuller, are you reading this? I am looking at YOU. But in a nice way.
Okay, off to watch Toot and Puddle. And, um, tweet. Have a good day, everyone!
6:20am. We’re up playing Cinderella Army–which, if you can’t tell by the name, is one we made up. Can you imagine a board version?

Good run, got to watch my Housewives and now @gma with the house to myself. So blissed out…I think I need more coffee.

Just had to stop on way up driveway because a deer nursing a bambi was blocking my way. THAT, friends, is country living. Whoa.
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 14, 2012
And so it begins…I’m signing bookplates. Ah, memories!! #pubdateislessthanayearaway

Not sure whether I am rocking this knee-length prairie skirt or look like an over-the-hill Half Pint. Probably the latter. Oh, well.

Daughter just asked if I wanted to hear a story. Here it is.”Once upon a time, a bird went into a shoe store. He lived happily ever after.”
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 14, 2012
Reading bedtime stories. “In the great green room, there was a telephone….” Nothing better than GOODNIGHT MOON. Seriously.
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 15, 2012
Got to sleep until seven! *bounds out of bed* Okay, not really. More like, *slinks, yawning, towards coffeemaker*
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 15, 2012
Can you be on Pinterest for less than, say, an hour? If you are me, apparently not. *drags self away from looking at food and shoes*

A BIT too excited about going to Bed Bath and Beyond today. I’m so lame. Personally, it’s the BEYOND that I love. So much potential!

Sending my husband emails about different fake plants I am hoping to convince him to buy. Married 12 yrs. As if you couldn’t tell….
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 15, 2012
No Nick Jr. since Tuesday, and today DirecTV adds Disney Jr. My kid is already hooked. Well played, DTV. Viacom: it’s your move!
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 15, 2012
For 1st time tonight, daughter had me check her closet for monsters before bedtime. I guess we’re all afraid of something. Hate it, though.
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 15, 2012
About to watch the 21 Jump Street movie. Excited!
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 16, 2012
Have to go in record that I remember when the Jump Street SHOW premiered on Fox. Knew Johnny Depp back then. #amold
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 16, 2012
Husband did not agree it was Ice Cube in 21 Jump Street movie. My IMDB app proves him wrong. Best argument ender ever!
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 16, 2012
Best part of 21 Jump Street movie: Johnny Depp and Peter DeLiuise cameo. Made the film for me. Old school! And goodnight…
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 16, 2012
I hate when people get my name wrong. So have to say: it is Peter DeLuise who was in original Jump Street show and movie. It matters!
— sarahdessen (@sarahdessen) July 16, 2012
Haha, this is so cool! I love how you did this! And it sounds like you had an AMAZING time; it isn’t boring at all. Thanks so much for posting this!
PS I had no idea Toot and Puddle was on television! I learn something new every time I read your blog.
Such a cool idea for a blog post!
Cinderella Army sounds like my kind of game (21 year old Disney-princess-at-heart here!)
That was fun!
This was really amusing to read! Your tweets are so cute and make me smile. You shouldn’t do this every weekend (what with the copying and pasting), but it would be nice for an every once in a while thing. You’re so clever
I love Goodnight Moon! Children’s books are definitely not just for children. Perhaps I should make a list of books to pick up just because.
As for the monsters in the closet thing, you can always teach her to be like Boo in Monsters, Inc. and scare them instead.
Hee hee. Please tell me more about Cinderella Army!
And nice fairy tale about a bird.
Hi Sarah! It’s nearly six o’clock, and at any moment you are going to be doing your live chat for GL magazine. I just wanted to wish you luck, and to let you know I am going to be tuning in
-your biggest fan, Lisa
So right now it is twenty minutes past seven, and your live chat with GL magazine is over. I just wanted to say that I am really appreciative of the questions you answered that I submitted to the chat. I didn’t think I would be lucky enough to have one question answered ( there was A TON of people posting really great questions), but you managed to answer three of my questions in the hour long time allot. You’re not just inspirational because you write influential books- but what makes you really phenominal is that you always take time out for your fans : wheather it’s through tweets, the Friday Five, or through live internet chats. Continue to stay faboulous, Sarah, because that is one thing that never goes out of style. Once again, thank you.
Hi Sarah! That last post was from me, Lisa. I forgot to post my name lol.
PLEASE just do a regular post next time. If you want to ditch the blog then that is obviously your prerogative but this isn’t as fun to read. 140 characters isn’t the same thing as full sentences. You’re a writer for Christ’s sake. You can’t write a few hundred words?
Oh shut up, she can say and do whatever she wants. Someone clearly needs a tampon. goodbye.
Monsters in the closet, eh?
As a person who is fairly sure that there are, in fact, monsters in the closet, I’m always very tentative to check, which I think makes a kid more afraid..
What? Who wouldn’t be afraid of something hiding in your closet? All I want in my closet is shoes and stashes of chocolate.
So kudos to you for checking.
Also, out of all the children’s shows i’m forced to watch, Toot and Puddle is one of the best ;D
I have, and love all of your books, Its nice to see you’re a cool person as well as a great writer! <3
