News & Appearances

Coming in 2015….

…my newest novel, SAINT ANYTHING! Here’s what I can share so far, from PW:

Dessen’s Latest to Viking Children’s
Bestselling YA author Sarah Dessen sold her 12th novel to Ken Wright, v-p and publisher of Viking Children’s Books. Wright took world rights to the book from Writers House agent Leigh Feldman, and Viking editor-at-large Regina Hayes will edit. Saint Anything, set for 2015, is about a girl named Sydney who finds solace in a new love interest while dealing with her older brother’s incarceration. Dessen said the novel touches on some of her favorite themes, including the “joy and complications of family, first love, and how one friend can sometimes change everything.” Dessen’s novels have been translated into more than 25 languages; her books That Summer and Someone Like You served as the basis of the film How to Deal, starring Mandy Moore; and Viking said there are currently nine million copies of Dessen’s books in print.

Stay tuned for more details. I can’t wait for you guys to read this!

Pittsburgh, January 18th 2013!

I know, it’s been FOREVER since I’ve done any real appearances. What can I say, I was writing a book. And raising a kid. And watching Bravo. But now it is 2013 and I will be once again Getting Back Out there. First up: an event at the Carnegie Library in Pittsburgh, PA. It’s Friday, January 18th at 7pm and you can get tickets and info here. Hope to see you!

Big news!

Okay, so I am SO excited to finally be able to share a link to the cover from my new book, THE MOON AND MORE, plus an excerpt from the first chapter. It’s so thrilling and sort of terrifying to put something out there that I’ve been working on for two-plus years. So without further ado (although I do like the ado): HERE IT IS.

I would like to savor this more but my kid needs to look at pictures of fairies on the internet. Back to reality!

Have a great day, everyone!

Upcoming appearances…

I just realized that the appearance dates I have up here on my website are over a year old. Whoops! Truth is, after the last tour ended last December, I was SO exhausted I haven’t done much of anything. Other than, um, write another book. Which will be out June 4, 2013. It’s called THE MOON AND MORE. Plus, the paperback of WHAT HAPPENED TO GOODBYE will be released in April 2013. What this means is I WILL have appearances to post, lots of them, probably in the new year. So stay tuned!
