Who’s Your 80s Movie Icon Alter-Ego? Find out @ She’s Crafty

Now, with that last one, above, I totally picked the answers that I was sure would make me end up Janey from Girls Just Want to Have Fun. But no matter WHAT answers I picked, I get Patrick Dempsey. What’s up with that? He’s like the default setting?

So it’s Monday, the official last day of my summer break, as classes begin tomorrow. I have so much to do and I am in super duper procrastination mode, which means I just keep looking at the stack of stuff on my desk, sighing, and going to do something else. I know I’ve had a really long break, but it’s always hard to see the summer, well, end. Even with all my new school supplies it’s still kind of a drag.

Here’s another thing I’m realizing about this summer: I didn’t see nearly enough movies. In fact, I hardly saw any. Dodgeball, Saved!, Anchorman, Raising Helen, Fahrenheit 9/11…that can’t be it, can it? The sad thing is that it might be. Frankly, there just wasn’t that much that appealed to me this summer. I’m not really into blockbusters, and the chick flicks pickings were slim. I’ve heard the new Princess Diaries movie is good, and I’m a big Meg Cabot fan (she’s so prolific! how does she write so much? I can’t even imagine!) so I think I will try to get to that at some point. What does it say about end of the summer movies when the last two box office toppers have been Alien vs. Predator and The Excorcist remake? But come fall, there should be some good stuff. As for me, I’m just holding on for Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason. But I have to wait until the new year for that I think.

In the meantime, I guess I’ll buckle down and get ready for tomorrow. Or maybe I’ll just go watch eighties movies and MSCL on DVD instead. Although I don’t have Can’t Buy Me Love. Hmmmm….

have a good day everyone!
