Okay, so again I was wrong. Anthony got sent home. I will be making NO MORE predictions. Except that the O.C. will be good tonight. But that’s an easy one, right?
And no, I don’t care that George Lucas is going to be on it. I’m sorry, but I’m just not into the whole Star Wars thing. I loved the three original movies—and I am old enough to remember seeing them in the theatre—I had Star Wars action figures, I loved Leia. But the new ones just haven’t done it for me. And frankly, the hype is exhausting. Star Wars stuff is everywhere! I feel like I don’t have to see the movie, I’m already sick of it. But that’s just me. I am sure George Lucas will not really be missing my ten bucks (or thereabouts) at the multiplex. But I am just SO envious he got to visit the O.C. set. Can you even imagine?
Speaking of shows we love, my husband has a new favorite: The Dog Whisperer. He’s had friends telling him he should watch this show for ages, but then Oprah did a thing on it, and so we watched that and now he’s hooked. The Tivo is most likely taping one right now. I have to say, it is impressive what this guy is able to do with badly behaved dogs. We’ve already figured out, just from the few shows we’ve seen, that to make Monkey stop jumping on people and going crazy when we leave the house, we need to 1) treat him more like a dog, and less like a child and 2) be calm and assertive around him so that he will feel secure and calm himself. Now, this sounds great, but if I could be calm and assertive that easily, I’d have a lot less issues period, you know? Forget Monkey: I think I need a whisperer. Or, maybe not.
It is nice to have a new show, though, as EVERYTHING is ending in the next couple of weeks. Idol, America’s Next Top Model (Naima all the way, has to be!), Project Greenlight, the O.C. And then…what? Britney and Kevin’s home videos? Oh, I don’t think so. I’m thinking this summer it may finally be time to start watching all the shows everyone tells me I SHOULD be watching, like Gilmore Girls (which I have never seen) and What Not To Wear (which I hear is life-changing). Plus, of course, lots of dog whispering. Maybe some of it will rub off on me…
