Now, I’m all about modern technology. But you know how sometimes you see something that’s just a LITTLE too space age, and it freaks you out? That’s what happened to me this morning when I saw a story on Good Morning America about this new female robot they’ve developed in Japan. I have to say, just looking at a picture doesn’t even do justice to its amazing yet creepiness. You have to see the video, where she’s interacting with someone. Yikes! You think we’re not living like the Jetsons, just because we don’t have our own space pods, but then this happens and you think…well, maybe we’re not so far off.
Of course, right now someone out there is thinking, “What are the Jetsons?” so maybe that’s not a good reference. But whatever.
In other news, our lives are returning to normal post-Tour, which means I’m back to watching some of my shows. I’ve caught up on some Will and Grace, a well as Entourage (featuring Mandy Moore! which was so cool!) and some Gilmore, third season, which seems to be shaping up to be very eventful. As for my husband, he’d Tivo’d a couple of episodes of this new show Inked. It’s about tattooing, which I’m not that into, so I figured it wasn’t my kind of thing, but then he started watching them last night. “How is it?” I asked him, as I passed through the living room. He shrugged. “There’s not that much about tattooing,” he said. “It’s just…all this workplace drama stuff.” So I paused–only momentarily, mind you—and there WAS drama, between the people working in the tattoo parlor, relationship issues, broken hearts, workplace friction, and the next thing you know….I’m sitting down watching it. Sigh. See how easy that is? And I wasn’t even going to WATCH!
Well, at least if I do start watching it regularly, he can’t complain. It’s his fault!
have a good day, everyone!
