So it’s been kind of a crazy week already—I know, I know, it’s only Wednesday, right?—as we just found out that my husband has to have surgery for one of the injuries he got from his bike wreck last month. They did x-rays the day it happened and said nothing was broken, but, as it turns out, they were wrong. Whoops! Turns out he has a broken sternum, which is kind of a big deal. And a big whoops. So yesterday was meeting with doctors, and getting on the schedule, and trying to think about childcare. Luckily we have tons of family and friends here who are all rallying around us. I am always in awe of what great people we have in our lives, but especially today. And at least life isn’t dull, right?
On a totally random note, what does it say about me that all I could think of, while we were meeting with this bigwig thoracic surgeon, was how much he looked like Dr. Kelso from Scrubs? So much so that I can’t actually remember what he looked like. When I think of him, I just think Kelso. I swear, my life is WAY too TV related. Sigh.
All of this is a big way of saying that blogging may be a bit spotty, or even non-existent, for the near future, as I try to focus on, you know, keeping my house in order, literally. But if there’s any big breaking pop culture news (or I get to Sex and the City this weekend, as I SO DESPERATELY WANT TO!) you will definitely hear from me. That’s a promise.
In the meantime, I’m focusing on happy thoughts. Like this one:
I feel better already.
Have a good day, everyone!
