I’m writing this on Tuesday night, and they’re calling for snow again tomorrow. We are under an advisory, which usually means nothing happens, but….I am convinced that since I REALLY don’t want it to snow tomorrow, it will. Being snowed in (which here means, you know, pretty much any accumulation) was one thing when I could spend the day sleeping, watching Bravo and reading. Now, I have a baby to entertain, and she doesn’t really like to sleep in (understatement) isn’t into Bravo and while she likes books, there’s only so many times a person can read Goodnight, Gorilla without going insane. So, yes. Snow, stay away.
In other news, my purging and organizing of clutter continues. Yesterday I tackled my file cabinet and my spice rack: today, my medicine cabinet and yet more files. Now I find myself with a HUGE stack of stuff that needs to be shredded, entirely too much for my little shredder to handle. I think it might explode if I try. So I called a few places that run shredding services, but they seem to be mostly for businesses, and I don’t have THAT much. Are there places that do smaller batches for you? There have to be. Geralin, I am looking at you! Help!
Finally, speaking of office things, a word about The Office episode that aired after the Superbowl. Now, I love this show. LOVE IT. So I am biased, clearly. But I still thought that the opening segment, about the fire prevention drill, was freaking brilliant. If they were looking for a way to pull in folks who don’t watch, i can’t think of a better way to give a quick—and hilarious—look at the wonder that is Dunder Mifflin. I think I might have to watch it again, actually.
Now, I’m off to try the West Wing on DVD (my dad recommended it, and I listen to him) and continue to hope to wake up to a balmy, sunny day. Or just sunny. Or just not snowy. That would be fine, too.
