So it’s Sunday afternoon as I write this, and it’s cold and pouring rain outside. According to the weather reports, this rain will eventually turn to snow, possibly accumulating to 2-4 inches. All I can say is this: fine, February. You win.
Clearly, I annoyed the February gods with my gloat about the arrival of March today. Why else would it be about to SNOW when we had seventy degree weather just a couple of days ago? They do say March comes in like a lion, and goes out like a lamb. I guess this is just it roaring. But it doesn’t mean I have to like it.
Meanwhile, I finally got to watch Pineapple Express last night, and I have to say I really liked it. Of course, I’d love just about anything with James Franco in it, because I adored him in Freaks and Geeks. Here he is a long-haired, slacker stoner, and he’s still completely appealing. What’s up with that? Like a lot of Judd Apatow movies, it felt a little on the long side to me, but other than that, it was a great movie for a cold, rainy Saturday night when all you really want to do is sit on the couch and dream of summer.
Speaking of summer, I’ll have a new book out then. (Wow, that was about the worst transition EVER, wasn’t it? Clunk!) I got a lot of questions about Along for the Ride after my last little video blog, so I figured I’d do another quick one. (And by quick, I mean I taped it, and then edited it like crazy, and obsessed about how my hair looked, and almost deleted it before just going for it anyway.) While you enjoy it (hopefully) I’m going to go pull out my flip flops and just stare at them longingly for awhile.
