I am back.
Ahhhh. Vacation was so wonderful. (Although I came home and promptly came down with a cold, what’s up with that? I guess you can’t have everything.)
This last week was the most relaxed I’ve been in ages. I don’t think I even realized how stressed I’d been until suddenly there were no phones ringing, no emails demanding attention, nothing to do but eat Ring Dings, sit on the beach, and read magazines. Sheer, total bliss.
So of course this is the view I’m missing now:
I need to remember to look at it when I start to feel myself going mental again. Which will probably happen by the end of the day, considering the amount of email I have to deal with. Yikes.
One thing that happened on vacation that was very cool was that I finally, officially, arrived: my book was in Super Stop and Shop. I am such a loser that I had to snap a picture (I’m sure they wondered what the hell I was doing):
That’s me, third row down. Right next to Paula Danziger. How cool is that?
Meanwhile, I spent a lot of time with my cousins, hanging out. We went to one of those paint-your-own-ceramic-doodad places, where they produced lovely pieces and I produced, well, a bowl that will probably gather dust in my cabinet. I may post a picture here, later, but I’m not sure I’m up for the ridicule. My cousins, however, as always, were kind:
I love those girls.
Anyway, so now I’m back here at home, feeling a little coldy, about to venture out into the big time Southern heat to run errands. That’s the thing about vacations: they always end. But I guess if they didn’t, they’d just be like any other day.
hope YOU had a good week…..
