There’s nothing like a preschool Christmas pageant to really make your day.
This morning I went to help out my cousin Caroline, who wanted to videotape her kids’ pageant and needed me to hold the baby, Elise, while she did so. The kids were so cute, all in angel wings with tinsel halos. Some were dressed up like animals and one girl had what looked like a chicken on her head (I think it was a dove, though). Elise and I stayed in the back while about a million parents taped the kids singing: she got graham cracker drool all over me, but she’s so cute I didn’t even care. The pageant ended with “Feliz Navidad”, accompanied by clapping and the occasional Cha-Cha-Cha! (My favorite part.) Afterwards my little cousins took me back to show me their classrooms, their little cubbies, all that, and I remembered, suddenly, when school used to be Just So Exciting. I’d like to get back in that frame of mind before next semester, if I could. Just a thought.
I’m still waiting for UPS and my computer. Now the tracking site says it’s an Exception but it scheduled to be delivered yesterday. Hmmmm. We have to sign for it, so I’m basically having to conduct my entire life around someone being here. Good thing it’s raining and I’m lazy. I don’t feel like going anywhere anyway. In fact, what I really want to do is go curl up with a book and doze off for a little while. Ahhhh. Nice.
Feliz Navidad! (Cha-cha-cha!)
have a good day everyone…..
