So, I’m back. I had a great time in L.A., but I’m such a homebody that the best part of a trip, actually, is usually coming home to my own bed. I slept for eleven hours last night: I was EXHAUSTED.

Much thanks to my cousins Anna and Rachel, who took me on a whirlwind tour of L.A. on Sunday. We saw the Osbournes house (or gate), the Playboy Mansion (or gate) and Aaron Spelling’s enormous house (which was so big you could actually see it, but there was also a very big gate.) Then we went shopping. At Anthropologie I bought two perfumes by Demeter: one smells like Angel Food cake (no joke) and one like honeysuckle. EXACTLY like honeysuckle. Standing in a crowded store in a huge city I breathed it in and thought, this smells like home. Again, no matter how far I go, this is always where I belong.

Today I run errands, deal with campus stuff, regroup. I just finished picking through about 45 email addresses (about 40 of which were spam) and cruised a few of my websites. As I checked out Mandy Moore’s, I saw that she has a few clips from her new album posted. She’s really trying something new here, and I have to say I like it. A sort of cover album of obscure tunes from the eighties and nineties. It’s a long way from “Candy,” which might annoy her hardcore fans, but I have to say it’s more up my alley. You should take a listen. Check it out here.

(What can I say? I’m a Mandy fan. I met her, she’s nice, I hope for good things for her. I have a good feeling about this, too. I really do.)

have a good day everyone!
