So I’m feeling a little stressed this morning, for various reasons.
Lucky for me, there is The Daily Zen. Ahhh. I feel better already.
My brother is a Zen Buddhist, and I’ve always been intrigued by it, even if a lot of times I don’t exactly understand a lot of what I read about it. I think it’s calming for me if only because I get distracted trying to figure out what things mean, and forget about what was stressing me in the first place. But I know I’d be a lousy Buddhist, for the same reason I’m lousy at yoga: I can’t quiet my mind. I am always on edge, always obsessing. It’s so unhealthy.
*takes deep breath*
Okay, so that helped al little. Really. But I think eating some chocolate brownies will make me feel even better.
