Forget your troubles, c’mon get happy…..
Forgive me, I’ve been on a bit of a Judy Garland kick lately. I keep playing “The Trolley Song,” which is about to drive my husband to declare a citizen’s divorce. Really.
I don’t know why I’m suddenly all into Judy. I think it has to do with this biography I read of her, which went into deep detail about how hard and bumpy her life was, all the men and pills and the overbearing mother, all of it. Now I can’t listen to any of her songs without hearing all this extra nuance, and Over The Rainbow seems sadder than ever.
God, this is depressing for a Friday. I’m supposed to be getting happy, right? Right.
More than anything, I REALLY want to go see a movie today. It’s the perfect day for it, but nothing appeals. The Fast and the Furious sequel? Don’t think I have enough testosertone to get it. Finding Nemo already saw, Dumb and Dumberer…well….maybe, and besides I’m not going to say ANYTHING bad about a New Line movie, I love New Line! I need a good chick flick, and I’ve seen all the ones out there.
Might have to go shopping instead. Aw, shucks. But hey: it does make me happy. Very.
Have a good day everyone….
