Okay, so I know I’m a little late on the curve for this, but I have been sort of busy lately. Last night, after a fabulous dinner at my very favorite local restaurant, I came home and watched Queer Eye For the Straight Guy, which I’d Tivoed earlier in the week.
Oh.My.Goodness. This is my absolute new favorite show.
If you haven’t seen it, you should. That’s all I’m going to say. The basic premise is that they send in The Fab Five—five gay men who each specialize in some aspect of lifestyle, like grooming, or cooking, or decorating—to work with some straight man who has a big event coming up for which he’s like himself and his house to be transformed. (Last night, the guy wanted to ask his girlfriend to move in.) It was so freaking hysterical, not to mention quite informative. I’ve already set up Tivo to keep recording it WHENEVER it is on. I think I might just learn something.
In other news, I also found out that the How to Deal book will be on the bestseller list for a third straight week as of August 3rd, moving up to number 8. Yessss! And speaking of books, tonight there’s a nice bookstore reception for me and How to Deal at Market Street Books, which is in Southern Village. It’s my last bookstore appearance (four in seven days), after which I am going to officially collapse. It has been fun, though. Really fun. I think I’ll miss all this chaos, eventually. Not immediately. But eventually.
have a good day everyone!
