One side of my mouth is numb and feels so weird. Nothing like getting a cavity filled at 9am to really kick-start your day.
I’m upset that I had a cavity in the first place, because aren’t cavities for eight year olds? I haven’t had one since I was in elementary school, but there I was today, closing my eyes so I didn’t have to see the drill as it approached me, buzzing. *shudder* Apparently, you CAN get a cavity even if you brush all the time, as I do. The culprit, my dentist explained, might be Altoids. To which I am totally addicted. I keep a tin in my car and have at least one every time I go anyplace, and apparently that is Just Not Good. I was told to switch to sugar-free mints.
I mean, really. Can’t a girl have any addictions anymore without having to quit? I quit smoking, I eat healthy, even though I LOVE fried food more than anything, and now I have to give up Altoids. Frankly, that sucks. I don’t want to be living such a pious lifestyle. I think I need a few vices, just to keep life interesting. And who eats sugar free mints? Isn’t that like fat-free cheese? (To which, I might add, I have a moral opposition.)
Okay, so I’m ranting. Sorry.
To remedy this, I’ll switch gears to point you toward Nerdslut.net, which is a website done by Samantha, who was nice enough to post a link a few days back. Nerdslut is just such a cool name that I wish I’d thought of it myself, and there’s all kinds of cool commentary and stuff like that (including my Ben-Jen rant about Gigli, in case you missed it.) Anyway, enjoy enjoy. And it’s even sugar free.
have a good day everyone!
