So yesterday I’m clicking around on ITunes (one of my new favorite obsessions) and I start looking for this Van Morrison song I heard while I was watching Bridget Jones’s Diary the other night, “Someone Like You.” Type it in, they don’t have it, but guess what DOES come up? The audio version of Someone Like You the book, my book, right there available for purchase and download. I cannot tell you how exciting it was to see my name on ITunes (I know, I know, I’m such a nerd, but whatever) saying Featured Artists: Sarah Dessen. Eeeek!
I have the audiobook on cassette, but I’ve never listened to it—except for the first few minutes or so—since I don’t have a cassette player in my car. But to be honest, listening to someone else read my book aloud was kind of odd. I’m sure the woman who did it is great, but I’ve just read from that book so many times and I have my own way of doing it. Hearing another interpretation was, well, a little bit weird. Still, I’m slightly tempted to download it, just to have it. Even if that *is* somewhat pathetic, to have your own book on your IPod. Isn’t it?
(A good rule of thumb: if you’re questioning whether something is pathetic, it probably is.)
Oh, whatever. I have bigger concerns today anyway. Like bathing suit shopping.
God help me.
have a good day everyone!
